Support Your Local KGB Agent
There's a movie theater along my walk to work. These posters have been up since I first got here. But nobody goes to see the movie. Apparently it's a big budget story about dashing KGB types.
It's worth mentioning that the most expensive films in Russian are still government supported. This means that the vast majority of them are, in one way or another, charged with propaganda. That means that films like the one advertised above stay in theaters whether anyone goes or not.
But every time I pass the theater I look at these two. Don't you think they look upset? I mean, he clearly needs a vacation. And her, well, she's no Lara Antipova.
